DONATE NOW
We know you have a choice in where you invest your money.
We believe City Care is among the best agencies empowering others to create change in Oklahoma City and are honored you are considering partnering with us.
Last year, 83%of City Care's funds went to charitable programs, or, as we like to say, direct relief.
According to Charity Watch, a nonprofit is considered highly efficient when producing a program percentage rate of 75% or higher. We work hard to keep your investments working hard on behalf of Oklahoma City's most vulnerable.

City Care Collective: People sharing good.
Our monthly donors support our programs by providing consistent and reliable gifts that enable long-term planning and sustainability. Their support creates a strong foundation for growth and allows us to focus on delivering impactful services and programs.
As members of the City Care Collective, it is with love and compassion that we walk alongside neighbors who are often overlooked. We hold these truths as an anthem to our mission - to create change in our community:
We affirm the inherent dignity we share as human beings, worthy of respect, kindness, and love.
We commit to proximity, community, and relationship with our friends, family, and neighbors.
We amplify the unheard voices and are allied with our friends on the margins.
We proclaim our city is not just a city for the advantaged and connected; it is a city for us all.
We belong to each other.

When you donate stock that has appreciated for more than a year, you not only receive the same tax savings as a cash gift, but you are actually giving 20% more than if you sold the stock and made a cash donation by avoiding capital gains taxes.

Give through a Donor Advised Fund.
DAFs are one of the fastest-growing charitable giving vehicles because of how easy and tax-advantageous they are. When you contribute to a DAF, you receive a federal income tax deduction for the amount of the gift. Then, while you decide which program to support, your gift can be invested and grow, making an even larger gift to City Care possible. If you already have a DAF and would like to make a gift now in order to provide City Care with the support we need to care for our friends and neighbors living unhoused, simply request a grant distribution through your DAF sponsor. Be sure to use City Care's Tax ID # 73-1497381. Then, indicate whether your gift is unrestricted and may be applied to wherever is needed most or designated to a specific program.

QUADS
According to the National Low-Income Housing Coalition’s 2023 Housing Gap Report, Oklahoma City faces a staggering shortfall of 68,020 affordable housing units for our neighbors with extremely low (≤30% AMI) and low (≤50% AMI) incomes. For every 100 households earning 30% of the Area Median Income or less, there are only 38 available and affordable units.
Over the past 30 years, City Care has built 112 units of supportive housing, representing 13% of Oklahoma City’s total supportive housing stock—and we’ve done so without taking on debt, ensuring that rent remains deeply affordable.
We’re currently fundraising $4 million to build 27 additional units—Phase One of what we anticipate will be a two-phase development in the same neighborhood we’ve invested in for three decades.
This next chapter is being thoughtfully designed by Dinnis Studio and built in partnership with Monarch Properties, trusted collaborators who share our commitment to creating belonging and dignified, lasting housing solutions for our must vulnerable neighbors.

RESPITE
Every day in Oklahoma City, individuals experiencing homelessness are discharged from hospitals with nowhere safe to heal. Even with the best intentions and care, our local hospitals face a heartbreaking dilemma: without stable housing options, patients are often released back to the streets. Without a place to recover, even treatable conditions can become life-threatening—fueling repeated ER visits, poor health outcomes, and unnecessary suffering.
Medical Respite Care changes that.
City Care is currently fundraising $10 million to build a 40-room recuperative care facility for neighbors who would otherwise be discharged into homelessness. This purpose-built space will offer short-term residential care, basic medical support, and intensive housing navigation, so that guests can recover with dignity—and avoid reentering the homeless response system altogether.
Designed by GSB Architects and built by Prgrin, this facility will fill a crucial gap in Oklahoma City’s continuum of care. It’s more than a place to heal—it’s a launchpad toward permanent housing and long-term stability.
