Last year
of City Care's funds went to charitable programs,
or, as we like to say,
direct relief.
According to Charity Watch, a nonprofit is considered highly efficient when producing a program percentage rate of 75% or higher. We work hard to keep your investments working hard on behalf of Oklahoma City's most vulnerable.
Donate Cryptocurrency.
This one is for our techie friends. We now accept Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies! To donate, go to cryptoforcharity.io and pick "City Care Inc" from the list. From here, you can donate crypto and get a tax receipt. Donations of appreciated cryptocurrency don’t trigger capital gains taxes, and may be tax-deductible for the full value.
Create a legacy.
Supporters of all ages choose to include us in their will or trust because of the impact this has in transforming the lives of future generations. Learn more about how you can continue to make an impact through Planned Giving. Please reach out to Staci Sanger at staci@citycareokc.org if you'd like to receive more information.
Donate Stock.
When you donate stock that has appreciated for more than a year, you not only receive the same tax savings as a cash gift, but you are actually giving 20% more than if you sold the stock and made a cash donation by avoiding capital gains taxes.
Give through a Donor Advised Fund.
DAFs are one of the fastest-growing charitable giving vehicles because of how easy and tax-advantageous they are. When you contribute to a DAF, you receive a federal income tax deduction for the amount of the gift. Then, while you decide which program to support, your gift can be invested and grow, making an even larger gift to City Care possible. To find your fund and support City Care today, click here.
Leverage a Company Match.
Who wouldn't want to double their donation, if possible? In addition to these gifts being tax deductible for the business and employee, it has a significant ROI for City Care. Not sure if your employer offers a charitable match program? Click here to run a search and to see tips on how to take advantage of this offering.
